Farmville has come a long way since it was released almost a year ago. It had a lot of problems back then that have been fixed in the last few months. The biggest improvement is the addition of Farmhands and Arborists to harvest the animals and trees, respectively. The game also had the big problem of having to click and then choose harvest from a drop down menu. Now all it takes is clicking the animal or tree to harvest it, which was a much needed improvement.

Of course, the game isn’t perfect, but it is encouraging that the developers are obviously paying attention to the feedback given to them by the players. No one appreciated having to use FV Cash to pay for fuel, so now it is possible to find fuel while farming. It can also be shared with friends, making it possible to stockpile this necessary aspect of the game. Without it, it is impossible to plow, seed and harvest more than one plot at a time.

Farmville and Farm Town have always been the top two contenders of farming games on Facebook. Farm Town's strength has always been the Market, where players could mingle with other farmers as well as hiring them to tend their farm. Farmville is finally getting its own Market, which will help it finally surpass its toughest competitor. Update: Farmville's Market is useless and not the interactive market the other games have!
